Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 1, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website located at csicarpet.com ("Site") and all flooring products and installation services provided by Carpet Services Incorporated (CSI), a flooring contractor headquartered at 30 W Fay Ave, Addison, IL 60101 ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing the Site, submitting an estimate request, entering into a service agreement, or accepting any product or service from CSI, you ("Customer," "you") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or engage our services.
Services Provided
Carpet Services Incorporated offers residential and commercial flooring products and services throughout the Chicagoland metropolitan area, including DuPage, Cook, Kane, and Will counties and northwest Indiana. Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Supply and installation of carpet, luxury vinyl plank and tile, hardwood, laminate, ceramic tile, and porcelain tile
- Floor repair, re-stretching, refinishing, and replacement
- Subfloor preparation, moisture mitigation, and floor leveling
- Custom area rugs, stair runners, and specialty flooring
- Commercial flooring for offices, retail, healthcare, hospitality, multifamily, and institutional facilities
All services are subject to the availability of materials, scheduling capacity, and site conditions. CSI reserves the right to refuse service at its sole discretion.
Estimates & Quotes
Free estimates are provided as a courtesy and are based on measurements, material selections, and site conditions observed at the time of the estimate. An estimate is not a binding contract or a guarantee of final price.
Final pricing may vary from the estimate if actual measurements differ, site conditions change, additional preparatory work is required, or material costs change between the estimate date and order fulfillment. You will be informed of any material changes before work commences.
Estimates remain valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated in writing. CSI is not obligated to honor expired estimates.
Payments & Billing
Payment terms are specified in your individual service agreement. In general:
- A deposit may be required upon material order to secure scheduling.
- The balance is due upon completion of installation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Accepted payment methods include check, major credit cards, and approved financing through our lending partners. Cash payments require prior arrangement.
- Returned checks are subject to a returned-payment fee in addition to any bank charges.
Overdue balances may be subject to a finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% annually) on the unpaid balance, or the maximum rate permitted by Illinois law, whichever is less. CSI reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for non-payment and to pursue all available legal remedies for collection.
Financing options, where available, are provided through third-party lenders and are subject to credit approval. CSI makes no representations regarding financing approval or terms.
Scheduling & Site Access
Once a service date is confirmed, the Customer is responsible for ensuring:
- Clear, unobstructed access to the work area at the scheduled time
- Removal of furniture, personal belongings, and floor coverings (unless furniture moving is included in your agreement)
- A safe, climate-controlled environment appropriate for material acclimation and installation
- That pets and children are kept away from the work area during installation
If CSI crews arrive and cannot access or safely work in the designated area, a trip charge may apply and the appointment will need to be rescheduled. Rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a rescheduling fee.
CSI is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including but not limited to material backorders, weather, or building access restrictions.
Warranties & Workmanship
CSI stands behind the quality of our installations. Our workmanship warranty covers defects in installation technique for a period of one (1) year from the date of project completion, subject to the following conditions:
- The flooring has been maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's published care guidelines
- Damage does not result from abuse, neglect, water intrusion, excessive moisture, or abnormal traffic conditions
- Modifications have not been made to the installed flooring by parties other than CSI
Product warranties are governed exclusively by the applicable manufacturer's warranty documentation. CSI will assist Customers in navigating valid manufacturer warranty claims but is not liable for manufacturer defects beyond our workmanship scope.
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to cs@csicarpet.com within the applicable warranty period. CSI will inspect the claim within a reasonable time and, if valid, will repair or re-install the affected area at no charge.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Carpet Services Incorporated's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our products or services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to CSI for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
CSI shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind
- Loss of use, business interruption, or loss of profits
- Damage caused by pre-existing subfloor conditions not disclosed prior to installation
- Color or texture variations inherent to natural or manufactured flooring materials
- Damage resulting from Customer's failure to follow post-installation care instructions
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.
